The Smarter Approaches to Reinvigorate Agriculture as an Industry in the Philippines or SARAi Knowledge Portal offers a wide range of agricultural services on web and mobile platforms for its priority crops: rice, corn, banana, coconut, coffee, cacao, sugarcane, tomato, and soybean.
With PCAARRD as the funding agency together with PhilRice, PCA, BSWM, PAGASA, PCIC, SRA, and its co-implementing State Universities and Colleges, the SARAi Knowledge Portal aims to reduce climate risks by providing its agricultural stakeholders nationwide with site-specific crop advisories. It is anchored on precision agriculture by optimizing advances in technology such as Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Crop and Simulation Modelling (CSM), Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (RS/GIS), Standardized Vegetation-Temperature Ratio (SVTR), and field sensors to develop decision support models for crop forecasting, crop advisories, and early warning systems.
