Last 22 September 2022, DOST-CALABARZON and DOST-Batangas inaugurated the first Modular Ecology-Friendly Domestic Wastewater (MEDOWW) Treatment System Technology in the CALABARZON region at Barangay Anilao Proper, Mabini, Batangas. The MEDOWW Treatment System is DOST’s solution to mitigate environmental pollution brought about by untreated wastewater.

On the same occasion, Mabini Tablea Food Producers Association (MABLEA) was formally launched and introduced to intensify the promotion of its products and allow it to penetrate a wider market. MABLEA has been a recipient of the DOST-Batangas Grants-in-Aid Community-based Project (GIA-CBP), technology trainings, and other technical assistance since 2018.
