Description

The Philippine High School for the Arts UNESCO ESD Rice Project aims to strengthen the cultural values of PHSA students and teachers and develop into and act as agents to lift and sustain the economic importance of rice in their communities, and the nation in general. The project also aims to address on the sustainability in the society. The project intends to nurture, promote, and link good practices of using indigenous projects for sustainable development. This is anchored on the framework of holistic approach; ownership based; participatory in nature and empowering the community for a sustainable community development. In response to ACCU-UNESCO project Rice, PHSA focuses on folklore particularly the origin of rice and rice deities of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
